How can I have beautiful white teeth?
Are your teeth discoloured, stained and because of that you don’t even dare to smile? We can solve your problem!
Teeth whitening is a more and more common procedure in aesthetic dentistry nowadays. As coffee, red wine, nicotine, food dyes, and even intense colored spices discolour teeth, teeth whitening has become very popular recently.
Before teeth whitening
The teeth whitening procedure must be preceded by a dental consultation, during which the dentist examines the condition of the teeth and the current tooth colour is also determined for later comparison. The next step before whitening is a professional teeth cleaning with scaling and polishing to clean the surface of the teeth from tartar. Now you can choose Beyond® teeth whitening or take home whitening with custom fitted whitening trays.
Beyond® in-chair teeth whitening - the latest and most gentle method
Beyond® teeth whitening technology with a temperature cooling system is the most modern and effective method of teeth whitening available today. It can clean not only the surface of the teeth but also their deeper layers. Its special feature is based on an advanced temperature cooling and monitoring system to prevent tooth damage.
Another great advantage of Beyond® Teeth Whitening is that both jaws can be cleaned during a 2 × 20-minute treatment, and your teeth will be up to 6-8 shades whiter. Beyond is a one-time treatment with no side effects.
What happens during teeth whitening?
Beyond® teeth whitening starts with a normal tooth cleaning to make the tooth surface completely free of stains. Then, if necessary, tartar removal and polishing precede the treatment. Before teeth whitening begins, your dentist or dental hygienist will cover your gums and lips so that only the teeth you want to whiten are visible.
The Beyond® teeth whitening gel is then applied to the surface of the teeth and illuminated with cool light. We leave the gel on the teeth for 10 minutes then we replace it.
The gel is replaced twice during the teeth whitening process. After leaving a focused beam of cold light to whiten your teeth for a total of 3 x 10 minutes, the gel is completely removed from the teeth.
At the end of the teeth process, an anti-sensitivity paste is applied to the teeth. After a few minutes, it can be removed, and the teeth whitening process ends. With the preparations, it does not take more than an hour.
In the meantime, you have nothing to do but sit back and comfortably wait for the result!
Is the procedure safe?
YES! Clinical tests and studies have shown that teeth whitening with hydrogen peroxide is the safest dental and aesthetic procedure. But like all teeth whitening procedures, it is not recommended for children under the age of 18, for nursing mothers or during pregnancy.
How long will the result last?
Certain foods / drinks should be avoided after teeth whitening, such as chocolate, coffee, tea, coke and other colored drinks, juices, chewing gum, energy drink, tomato, jam, dark fruits, citrus fruits, carrots, beets, spinach, soy sauce, salami, sausage, ketchup, curry, processed foods containing colouring. Smoking should also be avoided for 10-14 days.
Teeth whitening at home safely
Similarly to the in-chair teeth whitening procedure, a professional teeth cleaning is recommended a few days before whitening your teeth at home, during which tartar and other discolorations are removed from the teeth. This way we can achieve maximum results after whitening our teeth at home.
In order to prepare the whitening trays, a special impression is taken in the dental chair, based on which the dental laboratory prepares the individual teeth whitening tray / trays in 1-2 days, depending on whether the patient wants to whiten teeth on only one or on both jaws. The complete teeth whitening kit can be picked up at the clinic together with the individually prepared trays.
